Miss Elneil is a Consultant Urogynaecologist and Uro-neurologist at University College Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. She holds a PHD from the University of Cambridge. Her clinical practice cares for women who have issues with stress incontinence, urinary problems, functional faecal problems, sexual problems, prolapse, childbirth trauma and vaginal reconstruction. Since the 1990s she has also been involved with patients who suffer vesico-vaginal fistulas and are victims of female genital mutilation in the developing world. Over the last few years she has also been a key surgeon for those women who have experienced significant issues following pelvic mesh surgery.
At the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square in London, she treats patients who have neurogenic bladder and pelvic floor dysfunction, seeing patients in whom most other treatment modalities have failed.
When seeking an NHS referral, her clinical practice name is Sohier Elneil not Suzy Elneil. Make sure the GP puts this in his/her letter.
Miss Elneil cannot see male patients directly in this clinic but they can be referred to her for treatment either via the Urology department at UCLH or through the Pain Clinic co run by Miss Elneil and Dr Andrew Baranowski. For private male patients, her colleague Professor Hiten Patel can be seen and she will co-consult with him. Her private secretary can provide more details.
